NEW Doublebase Dayleve Gel:

Doublebase Dayleve Gel is a new, advanced gel formulation combining high levels of emolliency with exceptionally long lasting protection, together with the convenience of as little as twice daily application.

Doublebase Dayleve Gel has been specially formulated to be highly moisturising with long lasting protection and contains:

  • Emollient oils  at a high level (30%)  to protect against dryness
  • A high level of a humectant, glycerol, to help retain residual water within the stratum corneum
  • An additional agent, povidone, which forms a film layer within the stratum corneum, so as to further inhibit water evaporation

Doublebase Dayleve Gel is suitable for patients with dry skin conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis. Due to its long lasting protection, it can be used as little as twice daily, which is especially useful if frequency of application is a compliance issue.

Doublebase Gel:

Doublebase Gel is formulated to offer the emollient advantages of an ointment with the cosmetic acceptability of a cream.

Double action Doublebase Gel has both emollient and humectant properties:

  • Its high oil content is occlusive and provides an efficient emollient action, reducing evaporation of water through the stratum corneum.
  • The humectant glycerol increases the water content of skin to reduce roughness and irritation caused by dryness.

Similarly, in another corneometry study, Doublebase Gel was shown to have a significant and cumulative beneficial effect on skin hydration whereas Aqueous Cream did not improve skin hydration levels even after 7 days of continuous use. Doublebase Bath:

Doublebase Bath is formulated as a creamy emulsion which is designed to disperse throughout the bath water to cover the body evenly and avoid messy tidemarks on the bath.

Doublebase Bath contains:

  • Emollient oils to soften the skin and protect against dryness.
  • The humectant, glycerol, to attract water and moisturise the skin.
  • The non-ionic soap substitute cetomacrogol, which gently and effectively cleanses the skin.

Doublebase Shower:

Doublebase Shower is specially designed for use in the shower. It has a hooked overcap and a non-drip valve which makes it easy to use, hence increasing patient compliance. Doublebase Shower may be applied before, during or after showering, with or without a normal cleanser.

Doublebase Shower is a highly emollient shower gel which contains:

  • The non-ionic soap substitute cetomacrogol, which gently and effectively cleanses the skin.
  • The humectant glycerol, which attracts water to moisturise the skin.
  • A high oil content to soften the skin and protect against dryness.

Doublebase Wash:

Doublebase Wash is specially developed for use by the sink and comes in a convenient 200g pump dispenser. Non-foaming and fragrance free, Doublebase Wash is a highly emollient alternative to soap.

It has three actions:

  • The non-ionic soap substitute cetomacrogol gently and effectively cleanses the skin.
  • The humectant, glycerol, attracts water, to moisturise the skin.
  • The high oil content softens the skin and protects against dryness.
